Dot Extravaganza

After I made one of these beautiful squares, I realized that I absolutely loved the splash of colour and dots in the greys.

I didn't even mind too much working with shot cottons. Although the fraying ability they have is not used to its full extent in these blocks.

I had various pieces of grey left over so cut them into 6 1/2" squares and made quite a pile.

Then I pulled out my wonderful Baby GO! and began cutting circles from my glorious Riley Blake polka dot collection!

Does that not look simply scrumptious?  I could look at them all day long!

Anyway, I started playing...

I made another dozen tonight but didn't get them pressed yet. I am happy with what I am seeing so far!

They are looking very whimsical. Say if you set them together "higglty piggilty" you could call the piece, "Square Pegs in a Round Hole" LOL! This is going to be so cute when done!

That looks so fun and different. I can hardly wait to see it completed.

Love the dots!

Looks like you are having fun on these cold winter days. Did you use iron on stabilizer on your shot fabric to do away with the fraying?
