So... here is the scoop

Life is insane.. I am not sure why someone didn't give me a heads up and mention that being a President of a national organization, working part time and raising two adorable boys with a great husband would be crazy.  They should have... well not really, it wouldn't have made a difference in any decisions I made=)

The reason I am telling you this is my blog is not going to be updated twice a week this year.   I am going to strive for once a week. If you disappear on me, I will be sad, so I ask that you hang in until life settles back down.

ready to be assembled into a 3D flower

I will still quilt and show you my progress, just not quite as often.  Now I do have two finished quilts that I am dying to show you, like soo bad, as I love them. But.. here is the thing. There is this cream of the crop juried show called 'Quilt National' that only comes about every 2 years and you aren't really supposed to show your quilts. About 1,000 quilts enter and they take 85.. seriously, so my odds are like .0000001% of getting in. But every 2 years I enter. After October 6th I will be able to show them to you and you will have to do a fair amount of oogling and aggling as I will have just received my rejection letter-)

Instead I have shown you some progress shots of one of them in the making...what do you think?

Still there IS that .0000001% chance....and someone will get in... so here's hoping it is you.

Good luck at getting in to the quilt show. I don't care if you write weekly or monthly I enjoy following your blog and will remain with you. I admire how you all find time for life, sewing and blogging. Sometimes you have to make changes and they are usually better for you.

This has been your year so far so hang in there and fingers crossed you get accepted. As for me, I'll be sticking around to see your progress as I'm sure most of your followers will.

Your flower petals look awesome!
