I Am Back

I have been gone it seems like for two full months, but that consisted of 3 trips and one time only home four days in between.   The last trip was extra special for me.  It was the Canadian Quilters' Association's annual national conference.   It was in Ontario this year so I was able to drive.   It was 11 days of no sleep, laughter, chocolate, coffee, and lots and lots of quilts and camaraderie.  But it was so worth it.
It was here that they passed a little motion at the AGM that gave me the honour of being President of our national organization for the next year!  Yep, pretty excited and a tad emotional=)

We had some amazing lectures and workshop instructors. Luana Rubin of eQuilter gave a great talk during lunch one day. She is such a fantastic lady and has great insight into the quilting world.

Judy Coates Perez gave an evening lecture and it was very informative and she is so funny!

Anna Hergert won our coveted 'Teacher of the Year' award. Now if you want to see some amazing quilts, go to our National Juried Show winners here. And you can find our Trend-Tex Challenge here for more lovely quilts.

Now I am finally going to create some art quilts for me!
