A friend mentioned she really wanted a Christmas table runner. I have a policy that I don't make Christmas gifts in November or December. It is too rushed and those months just get too crazy.
I broke my rule. She sent me the measurements of her table. The runner was to be 84" in length! That is not just a table runner, that is a table that ran off!
I found a fabulous idea and tips from my friend Linda on her blog and drafted up a pattern and set to work. It is all HST's.

Pouches and Table Runners
I have been sewing up a storm for the little store that opens up here in our town for the summer.
I have made some zippered pouches, (like 20 or so, cause I just can't stop) and I know I have already shown you some, but I just had to take pics of these ones as they are so totally scrumptious. I even ordered cute little pull tabs to put on each pouch.
I also designed some table runners as well. I am really enjoying working on a cream background, as colours just seem to pop, yet the cream colour still gives it that earthy country feeling.
Enjoy!
And let me know what you like best.

Happy Birthday!
How is that for total self promotion? It is my birthday today and I am going to tell you all the fun I had in celebrating it.
I entered a fitness competition and did my first 'test' today. And did way better than I expected, so was thrilled about that.
Then off to inlaws for a birthday cake. Had supper made for me... then parents over for another cake. Lots of goodies and fun today.
Onto quilting, I have a wonderful list of tutorials I am soon going to get started with, thanks to all of you for taking the time to comment. Beading and crayon use on fabric were the two big favourites.
In the meantime, I have been doing a bit of quilting on some items I put in a little store here in my town.
So occasionally if I don't have an art piece to show you, I will pop in one of these little numbers.
Now you may ask why I just couldn't go with the lovely traditional pinwheel block for this cute table runner? After all the fabrics are delicious. But I couldn't stop there, I just had to drop in a few circles. I am on a real circle kick these days. It is crazy, but I love them.

What do you think? Did I go over the top? Should I have stopped with the pinwheel block? Or are you loving the circles?

Happy Valentine's Day
I whipped up this tablerunner this afternoon, as a special surprise for my family. They will see it tonight when we have supper. Simple to make and I do love cupcakes!

Pansy Tablerunner
Pansies are special to me, so I wanted to make something unique and lovely with the fabric. I decided I wouldn't use placemats enough, so decided to design my own tablerunner.
The yellow/green leaves are free motion quilted and couched on the outside. The pansies are thread painted in the center. The tablerunner looked so good that it didn't make the table.
Instead it is sitting on my cedar chest with the perfect picture on top.
