Remember I told you my dilemma with my black and white quilt for our guild's president challenge?
I came up with a solution. I decided to use embroidery floss and hand quilt it in lines throughout the quilt. I used a dark grey as the main colour, and then splashes of the other colours throughout the quilting.
I think I will do a few vertical lines as well.
The grey literally disappears into the quilt. You can only see it when it comes through a coloured square.
What do you think?

The double coloured stitching is strong enough to show at a distance. I like that.
ReplyDeleteI like the quilting lines but boo to the hackers. I just post photos of my quilts and other art/craft pieces so I don't think they would hack me but I will check it out just in case. Shame on them.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I was told that grey is a no no, from the typing finger tips of the prez. Also, the 10% of another colour needs to be a primary colour was what was written in the first guidelines. I can't handle that many rules. I'm not being a joiner! lol
