Giveaway Time

I hope you have been making the rounds on my first ever blog tour!  And I really hope some of you won!  If not, here is a chance for you to win this fabulous book and a kit to make my necklace!   Woot woot!!

Amanda, put together this amazing book of 9 patterns with the help of her ultra fab design team.

Here is the kit you could win to make this super cute necklace.

These placemats are in the book.  Candice created the pattern for them.  I gave my mom the book and she is making these first.   I so love these, and am really hoping my mom made them for me, but considering I gave her the book a month ago, I am thinking she picked one of my other siblings.   Maybe whomever wins the book will make them for me.  Kidding!  They are super easy to make and I will just have to whip them up myself.

Placemat 2

This is Jana's quilt, but it is more than a quilt.   Her pattern includes a foot warmer on the back.  Yep, all the measurements and instructions to construct  a place to put the warmers and a separate pocket to put your feet.  Simply genius!  (Don't tell her I said that, or it will go right to her head.)

All you have to do is leave me a comment.  It can be about anything, like your favourite junk food, favourite quilting tool, how much you adore my blog, recipes with chocolate in them, etc.   I will pick a  winner on July 16th.  If you just want to go out and buy this wonderful book, you can do so here.

Beautiful quilts and projects.

You mention chocolate when I'm on a diet? TORTURE!!! Yes, I love chocolate. Chocolate candy, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate ice cream, chocolate fabric....chocolate! Me want chocolate.

Looks like a wonderful book with lots of fun projects. :)

The best thing, next to chocolate, would be a quilt in chocolate colors. LOL!

My favorite chocolate dessert is either brownies (no frosting please) or something we call Mint Dazzler - vanilla wafer crust, chocolate ganache layer, marshmallow/whipped cream layer and sprinkled with crushed peppermint sticks; served frozen. Yum!

This looks like a great book for gift ideas! My favorite quilting tool has to be my Pinmoors...no more sticking myself with pins when I sew or quilt. Thanks for the chance!

This hot weather has me in the mood for something cool like Mocha Espresso Chunk ice cream. My local grocery store used to have that flavor but lately I can't find it and I'm wishing I had some! This book looks fun and the placemats are definitely cute!

This hot weather has really made me cranky. So when I'm out and about I treat myself to a 100 calorie 12oz. Green Tea Frapp from Starbucks. It's cold and refreshing, and if it's only very rarely I don't mind spending the $4 on it. (Also I do love your blog)

Pillsbury makes a dark chocolate cake icing that I could just eat right out of the can. LOL.. I love dark chocolate, thank goodness it is lower in sugar and has antioxidants so I don't feel quite as guilty when I indulge.

Those are some nice placemats!

Oh, and my favorite quilting tool is my sewing machines (yes more than one! LOL)

Hi Jackie, the book looks great and if I win I will try and make a placemat for you. How many in your family. I love any kind of chocolate but brownies are my favourite. I love the foot warmer idea on quilt as my feet are always freezing. Also I am dying to make that cute necklace. Blessings Sandra

I love your blog, it is wonderful. I also love chocolate, it is wonderful and soooo yummy. I love my seam ripper - as it is my most used tool in my sewing room, that is probably a good thing. You do not need recipes with chocolate in them, just eat the chocolate, who can be bothered to wait for cooking to be done!

Love the projects I have seen. I agree that the foot pocket on the back of the quilt is a fab idea!

My favorite junk food is ice cream. A scoop of vanilla icecream with strawberry syrup can lift me up from the worst of moods, even if just for a moment.

This is an easy comment. On pinterest I found a recipe for a chocolate frosty. it calls for a gallon of chocolate milk but I just have a small icecream maker so here is what I did. 2.5 cups strong chocolate milk. 1 heaping Tbs. sweetened condensed milk and 3/4 cup cool whip. mix the ingredients together then pour into icecream maker. Excelent!
