Blogger's Quilt Festival

I am doing it!  I am entering Amy's Blogger's Quilt Festival in the ROYGBIV category and the Modern category. What is super exciting, is that I have never shown you my modern quilt before!  I am so excited to hear what you think! Okay and a tad bit nervous too...

Amy has been doing this each year and  it is a tremendous amount of work for her, but she has the sweetness to put the time in and has found great sponsors, so I want to participate.

Fall 2014 BQF Button

Here goes... this is 'Off Balance'. She is a time consuming work of art. It took hours and hours of quilting. In the background are 2 circles quilted in grey thread that you can only see if you are really looking for it.

The quilting is less than a 1/8" apart and changes colours every inch or so.

I am entering Rockin' The Rainbow in the ROYBIV category=)
This quilt is me! It vibrates with life and colour and circles everywhere. It has polka dots in the centre of each square and is quilted in an ongoing circle!  Love this one so much.

The quilting is done in a circle 1/4" apart from each and in changing colours.

Both are very lovely but Rockin' the Rainbow is my favorite for sure. The vibrant happiness in it is evident.

I love "rocking the rainbow". The colours are amazing. The other one is very nice too, I understand the hard work involved in creating it but it isn't my style. I hope you win prizes.

The quilting is so close! Do your eyes cross? I really admire how you design and build quilts!

Both quilts are very impressive. I love the idea of changing colour thread in the close quilting of the modern one. It adds another layer to the quilt.
In the rainbow, I love the piecing and random shapes made by your tonal choice of fabric.
