In case you didn't know I am in love with dots and circles. Having said that, I wanted to do a whimsical little pin cushion that would make me smile when I used it.
As you can see below, there is a funny looking turtle meandering around in the grass below. He has the sweetest little hat on made of a button, pompom and little flower.
Wait! That is no regular turtle, that is a pin cushion for the Pin It Blog Hop=) It took a few tries at the design, but I finally figured it out.
If you are wondering about his colourful legs, they are lego blocks! He had to have fun colours for legs to match his funky shell.
The other awesome bloggers that are participating in today's portion of the Pin It Blog Hop are below. Go and check them out, I know their pin cushions will be adorable. Make sure you leave them a comment telling them so=)

ReplyDeleteI love turtles, live ones, and I always stop to move them off the road when we see them. Joe sighs but he pulls over so I can move them. A quick science lesson - a turtle is sometimes almost 20 years old before they can reproduce which is why they are endangered now - too many get run over.
I know, too much information, but I adore turtles.
I think he is cute!

ReplyDeleteI love your turtle pin cushion. My son (probably older than you - he's 36) has always had a fixation with turtles and still does. He recently rescued one and has it in an aquarium in his house. lol And he and his 7-year old each loves legos. So this turtle really touches my heart. I love polka dots. He is so adorable. He livens up the yard, too. I just had to read more of your posts and I also adore your selvedge pin cushion. I've been wanting to make a selvedge pin cushion and the rick rack is a great addition. Thanks for that post, too! Thanks for participating and the great, great turtle.
